Thermal Concepts was engaged to provide comprehensive HVAC and sheet metal services for the construction of the new air traffic control tower at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

The Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) underwent a significant upgrade with the construction of a new air traffic control tower, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
Project Highlights
- New Control Tower: The 98-foot tall tower, commissioned on November 4, 2014, offers controllers improved views of the airfield, further enhancing operations.
- Construction Details: The project included a 117-foot-tall tower topped by a 525-square-foot cab and a 7,200-square-foot single-story base building housing training rooms, administrative offices, and equipment rooms.
- Funding: The $16.4 million project was fully funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with the construction contract awarded to J. Kokolakis Contracting, Inc. of Tarpon Springs, Florida.
