Strong demand in commercial buildings for more energy efficient solutions prompted Thermal Concepts to expand its suite of businesses to include an LED lighting division in 2012. Now in its third year, the new business unit has reached impressive momentum with 500% revenue growth achieved in 2013 and 1,500% growth in their pipeline for 2014.

With 30 years of growth as a result of their attention to client needs, Thermal Concepts’ decision to start an LED lighting business and role it into its energy management company, Roth Southeast, was a no-brainer.

commercial led lighting 1According to Jesse Maurer, Vice President of Thermal Concepts, “Our business plan has always been simple…1) we focus on energy efficiency in commercial and industrial buildings, 2) we only employ expert mechanics and 3) we listen to our clients. So when we were introduced to David Bowlby and learned about his expertise with LEDs, we knew we had another great solution to help our clients further reduce the operating expenses in their buildings.”

In less than 3 years, Roth Southeast’s LED Lighting Solutions division has completed projects ranging from healthcare and hospitality, to universities and high-rise residential, to churches and religious facilities. Some projects have been parts sale only where the client self-performed the lighting installation, and others have been full-service where Roth Southeast partnered with one of its preferred licensed electricians to complete it ‘turn-key’ for the client.

According to David Bowlby, Vice President of Roth Southeast’s Lighting Solutions division, “LEDs are no longer just a cool but expensive lighting alternative, now LEDs are the smartest and most efficient choice in lighting – especially in large-scale projects where the immediate energy savings are astounding.”
